Podium finish for Wegelius
Charly Wegelius finished third on the final stage of the Vuelta a Asturias today. Wegelius broke away on the finishing climb of Alto del Naranco but was passed about 100m from the finish by Javi Moreno and Constantino Zaballa, the top two overall in the race.
Wegelius is still searching for his first individual win in his 11 year professional career as his only previous victories have been in team time trials. However he may get more opportunities this year having moved to UnitedHealthcare where he will be one of the leaders in stage races.
