Bradley Wiggins won stage 5 of the Jayco Herald Sun Tour to take the overall lead of the race. Wiggins completed the 10km time trial 14 seconds quicker than team-mate Svein Tuft.
In the overall Wiggins leads another team-mate, Chris Sutton, by 5 seconds. Sutton has already won three stages of the race in sprint finishes and may be favourite to take the victory with the time bonuses available in Saturday's final stage in Melbourne.
